*** U.S. Food Blog Survey Results Now Available! Check it out here I am like an onion. I have many layers like an onion, many different pieces to the puzzle that is Leena and sometimes, I make you cry a little. SO Leena = onion…we on the same page so far?
Well allow me to show you my scholarly layer of the old onion. I am getting my Masters in Gastronomy at the University of Adelaide in South Australia, as I told you about previous posts (I assume you were taking notes). In order to graduate, I have to write a 15,000-18,000 word research paper on something involving gastronomy, the study of food and culture. I chose to write about food blogs and the impact they are having on traditional food journalism in the United States. By traditional food journalism, I am talking about restaurant reviews, articles on food, any food magazines, journals, etc. Isn’t my scholarly layer pretty? To complete this paper, I need to understand how and why people use food blogs and traditional food journalism. So please allow me to introduce you to my survey on U.S. Food Blogs: Leena’s U.S. Food Blog Survey The rules are simple. You must be living in the United States (or a resident), you must be at least 18 or older, and you must occasionally read food blogs. You can take it in ten minutes and the payback is you get this nice, warm squishy feeling about helping me earn my Masters degree and become a real food writer. Good on ya! The survey will stay live until Monday, January 28th. Please fill it out if you have the chance and spread the word. The more research we can obtain in this little-studied field, the better! Thank you in advance for your help, and wish me luck! ~LTG
