Park Avenue Summer

The Park Avenue Hotel on 63rd ST in NYC has just opened a new restaurant that will change everything from the menu to the furniture and uniforms along with the seasons, currently called Park Avenue Summer. This extreme example of a seasonal restaurant caught my eye on the web the other day, and I haven?t been able to stop thinking about it! Right now, waitresses are dressed in sun dresses, the walls are yellow, and they served food that represents summer, like lemon sole and peach sorbet. A fellow blogger, Salli Vates, had the pleasure of dining there, and was quite impressed by how well the food captured the mood. It is times like these I curse living in another country! Ah well. If it?s still around in a year, I could probably be there for Park Avenue Winter and witness first hand how they lock waiters in the freezers a few minutes before they come to your table to give them that ?just came in from the snow? look. Hey. It could happen. ~LTG
