Amuse bouche: Camel on a stick

The Minnesota State Fair featured something a bit more daring than mashed potatoes on a stick this year….camel on a stick. A local resident who is from Somalia introduced his version of camel kebabs to expose locals to some of his favorite food, what he calls the meat of kings. The camel meat was imported from a farm in Australia, where camel eating is fairly common.
