Holiday Cooking Review
So.. I made a little food this holiday season…

Just had to tease everyone with every single dish I made for the 2007 holiday season. I am heaps behind on posts (two trips to Melbourne, a chili cookoff and several recipes), thanks to my dissertation, which you will hear more about in the next post. But I wanted to at least tempt you with the amazingness I cooked up for Santa and his friends. In order: grape, pistachio and blue cheese truffles smoked salmon canapes with sweet chili sauce chilled roasted corn soup with spicy blue swimmer crab, avocado, and parmesan lemongrass and ginger sorbet with basil pork belly osso bucco with lemon herb risotto, silver beet salad with dessert wine poached dried fruits Chicken breast stuffed with chicken, pine nut and spinach sausage with balsamic reduction sauce Blueberry sorbet with poached peaches, cookies and heavy cream wattleseed tiramisu baked pasta with ricotta and basil orange French toast with fried eggs and crispy pancetta peach strudel with cinnamon ice cream dulce de leche with orange truffles pancetta rings braised pork belly s’mores bar cookies with toasted coconut marshmallows (inspired by Vanessa at What Geeks Eat) I am about to launch a big project for dissertation, but after that, I promise to share details. Heres to hoping your holiday season was as kick-ass and food-filled as mine! ~LTG
