Look how gorgeous it is outside! Last week was a bit nippy, at least for Adelaide, highs around 60 (I think around 15 C) but really windy and no sun. This week, the first week of my Easter break (and officially fall), it?s been at least 80 (25 C) every day! Hardly a cloud in the sky! And where have I been? In the exotic school library! And sometimes if I?m feeling frisky, in the post graduate computer lab. I know. Pure rebel. Seriously, something is definitely wrong when I have to turn down trips to the beach with friends (yeah, I think have some now) to write my 3,000 word final essay on the foodway of the tandoor oven in northern India due Friday! I know, this is why I came here, technically. And it is not a totally boring paper, I am actually interested in writing it, but I am just a bit more interested in working on my tan before winter comes. After all, a lady needs priorities.

Look! It?s so nice out, you can see clear through to the Adelaide Hills just looking down my street! And yet here I am?its still pretty, but it?s definitely school.

The sad part is I have completely written my paper, but it is under 2,000 words. And that means yet another day, missing out on the beach and scrambling to come up with something new and interesting to say about the tandoor. And trust, there is nothing left to say. Another downside of the Gastronomy program I?m in? All the reading and research makes me hungry. I think I have adult ADD. But hey, at least it?s not Chicago, where it is spring and STILL SNOWING. Good move, Leena. Good move. ~LTG
