I would like to officially introduce everyone to my little bundle of joy and scratching, Nugget (as in Chicken Nuggets). She?s 9 weeks old, adorable, and frequently ends up strangling herself in our vertical blinds. Yup. We picked a bright one!
She is also part of the reason I haven?t been writing as much. Trying to get a new kitten used to her new home takes work, especially if we don?t want our leather couches scratched to hell and little nuggets from Nugget all over the house.
She?s still a little skittish?this is where she spent most of her first day home. She runs away when we try to pick her up, but once we catch 15 minutes later (the little stinker is fast!), she?s a master cuddler. I have never seen a cat get so used to people before!
This is her favorite position, although last night she was a big fan of sleeping on my chest upside down with her feet literally on my face. She was playing in a big paper bag last night, got her head stuck in the handle, and quickly circled the entire apartment three times before we could grab her and it get it off. Sounds sad, but she looked like a kitty with a superhero cape on. Made the LOUDEST noise, too. I love my kitty. ~LTG
