Set in picturesque Sonoma wine country, the Fruit Basket is a tiny country store filled with locally grown and produced goods. Go there.
One day, I showed up early for work–which just so happened to be in the Sonoma wine country that day–and stumbled across this gem. I was merely looking for some cheap local produce for my breakfast, and what I found was yet another great country store stuffed full of locally grown produce and locally made flours, pastas, candies and more. The owner was this adorable ethnic man, perhaps Greek? He had owned the store for 30 years or so, and was very kind. Needless to say, I did my grocery shopping after work that day.
More food porn after the jump.

Pasta as far as the eye can see! I even found a bag of tiny star-shaped pasta, which means I recreate my childhood favorite soup--chicken n stars!
I love this place. If you happen to be in Sonoma and would like to grocery shop, or even pick up some goodies for a picnic to have with your wine tasting, go here! Plenty of cheese and gourmet goodies, and many things are locally produced!
