Ah, northern California, home to dozens of chef-celebrities and some crazy ridiculously delicious food. It’s a hard life I lead.
Chef Thomas Keller, owner of The French Laundry, Bouchon Cafe and Ad Hoc restaurants, knows how to feed a bitch. Since I am years away from being able to afford his fancier restaurants, I decided to splurge on a trip to his gourmet bakery in the tiny picturesque town of Yountville.

Once inside, you can actually watch some of their bakers at work in the bake shop!

The macaroons are one of the shop's specialty. Here are the caramel and raspberry ones.
Chocolate tarts with just a sprinkle of sea salt....mmmmmmmmmmm
Pate de fruits, or homemade gummy fruit candies.
Even Fido can get spoiled with their foie gras dog biscuits. Holla.

The apple-filled glazed doughnut at Bouchon. This kicks MAJOR ass. SO good.
I highly recommend this place, whether you drive there for a quick breakfast, or even to get a picnic lunch to enjoy in the town (which is super cute, sort of what I imagine the town of Mayberry to be like, but with better restaurants and higher prices. I love me some Bouchon Bakery!
