I met up with an old friend for dinner, and we wanted to check out Lula Cafe‘s Monday night farm dinner. My photos sort of suck, but the food was so delicious, I just wanted to do a quick post about it. You might remember Lula Cafe from this post. Their brunch is amazing, pretty much one of the best I have ever had in Chicago. Their dinner menu always looks equally delicious, but a bit more out of my price range. Enter the $28 three course farm dinner. The menu is preset, but it changes weekly and always include fresh and local produce. First course: Corn soup with pancetta
Second course: Sauteed whitefish with caramelized broccoli, prosciutto, Italian summer truffles, and white corn panelle
Third Course: Peach Pie with ice cream
Considering the main dish costs $2 less than the entire meal we had, I would definitely say this meal is a great deal. Thanks for coming with me, Jen! ~LTG!
